Natural Tenderizers
There are two natural types of food tenderizers those being enzymatic and acidic.
When using an acid-based Marinade, be sure to use only containers made of ceramic, glass or stainless-steel, never aluminum or iron.
Most Marinades include one or more of the following and is usually mixed with a blend of herbs and spices:
- Pineapple
- Ginger
- Papaya
- Honeydew
- Tomato
- Vinegar
- Wine
- Buttermilk
- Figs
- Mango
- Beer
- Kiwifruit
- Citrus
- Yogurt
